About our School
Our school was built in 1965 and is blessed with spacious classrooms and areas that can be used for group work. We are an inclusive school and want to ensure that everyone has a voice including the children who are so often not heard. We want our pupils to develop as confident and articulate children who are prepared for life. Class representatives form our School Council and we have a strong partnership with parents and other members of our school community. We are proud to have gained the Investors in People award. We are part of the Healthy School's Project and the children are encouraged to eat a healthy lunch so we ask parents not to provide crisps and sweets. We have also made the school a peanut free zone to cater for those children who have a severe allergic reaction to them. Children are made aware of the reasons for these decisions and feel quite comfortable with them. We are keen to ensure that each child reaches their full potential academically but we have not lost sight of the value of a broad curriculum so put equal importance on the Arts, Humanities, Science and Technology. Above all we have the child at the heart of our Community and plan carefully with them in mind.
