Information

P.E

Our P.E days in 2020-2021 are Monday and Wednesday. Please ensure that all earrings are removed otherwise your child will unfortunately not be able to join in with the rest of their class.

Please make sure your child's long hair is tied back, and that ALL items of kit are named.

From September we are asking for children to come to school on P.E days in their P.E kits rather than getting changed at school. They will need to wear their shorts and P.E T-shirt with a pair of jogging bottoms and their school jumper. Please make sure that long hair is tied back and ALL items of kit are named.

Lunch Time

Please remember to complete and return school lunch menus. Lunches are ordered a week in advance. Please allow a week for any changes in menu choices.

If our team see a child is not eating anything at lunch times, parents will be informed and it may be suggest they bring a packed lunch until they are happy to eat a school meals.

Phonics

We follow the Letters and Sounds system for teaching phonics. Videos are available to support the teaching of phonics via our Google Classroom pages.  Click on Games & Resources for some helpful information about Phonics including Mr Thorne and Alphablocks. These will give you more information on how to pronounce the phonemes and digraphs.

Children that read each night to practice the skills they have been taught are the children who are most confident in school.

School Milk

Our school milk is provided by Cool Milk.

Cool Milk is the UK’s leading school and nursery milk supplier, working in partnership with local authorities and early years groups to supply free and subsidised school milk to children in pre-schools, nurseries and primary schools.
By registering your child, they will receive a 189ml (third of a pint) carton of fresh semi-skimmed milk every day.

Milk provides your child with essential nutrients such as calcium and protein, for strong, healthy teeth and bones. It is also rehydrating and energy boosting, helping to bridge the long gap between breakfast and lunch so children stay focused.
