Getting to school
Doors open each morning at 8.50am.
Please wait on the playground for your class teacher to collect your child.
The class register is taken at 9.00am.
If your child arrives after this time they will be marked as late so please be on time.
Reception children attend two assemblies throughout the week.
Wednesday (2.45pm) is birthday assembly for the children who have a birthday that week. Parents and carers are warmly invited when it is their child's turn.
Thursday (9am) is the whole school singing assembly.
Please be aware that due to current circumstances we are not holding school assemblies.
In reception, the children have the opportunity to play and learn outside the classroom both in the morning and the afternoon. They have their own dedicated learning garden.
We understand how important it is to drink water and remain hydrated throughout the day so we ask that children bring a water bottle to school. We can top up these bottles up during the day.
Milk can be ordered through Cool Milk. No other drinks or snacks are allowed.
Lunchtime is between 12.00noon -1.00pm. All infant children are entitled to a free school meal. Meals are freshly prepared in the junior school kitchen and transported down to our hall. Parents may provide a healthy packed lunch for their child or children may go home for lunch.
At 1.00pm each class come in and settle ready for their teachers return at 1.15pm. This is an opportunity for children to visit the toilet and have a drink before their teacher returns.
The end of the school day
School finishes at 3.05pm. Children are collected from the playground. The class teacher will only let a child go once they have seen their parent or carer.
Please let your class teacher (you can write a note in your child's reading book) or school office know if someone else is collecting your child.
From September we are asking children to come to school in their P.E kits on the days they have P.E. They will need to wear shorts and P.E T-shirt with a jogging bottoms and school jumper.
Please make sure that long hair is tied back and ALL items of kit, uniform and coats are named.
