Tuesday is a class assembly following up from the theme the day before.

Wednesday is birthday assembly for the children who have a birthday that week. Parents and carers are warmly invited when it is their child's turn.

Thursday is whole school singing assembly.

Friday is our celebration assembly.

Playtimes

In the foundation stage the children have the opportunity to play and learn outside the classroom both in the morning and the afternoon. They have their own dedicated learning garden. In Key Stage 1 the children have a playtime from 10.30am to 10.45am every morning where they can take a break from their learning in the classroom and enjoy a healthy snack. Every child is given a whole piece of fruit and water can be supplied. We understand how important it is to drink plenty of water so we ask that children bring a water bottle to school in order to drink throughout the day. We can top up their bottles if needed. Milk can be ordered through 'Cool Milk' and delivered to your child in school daily. No other drinks or snacks are allowed.

Lunch

Lunch is from 12.00pm to 1.00pm. All infant children are entitled to a free hot or cold meal. All our meals are prepared in our juniors school kitchen then transported down to our hall to serve. Parents may provide a healthy packed lunch for their child if preferred or children may go home for lunch.

At 1.00pm the midday assistants bring each class in and settle them ready for their teachers to return at 1.15pm. This is time to make sure they go to the toilet and have a drink before their teacher returns.

The end of the school day

The school finishes at 3.15pm. The children exit school through their external classroom door where parents wait for them outside. The classteacher will only let a child go once they have seen their parent or carer. Please let the teacher or office know if someone else is collecting your child.
